How to lose ten pounds in less than 30 minutes!

Well, I suppose I really have lost all common sense! For some reason I decided I just had to go out and get a ride in yesterday (9 Jun 08) in spite of the fact that it was "Code Red" air quality, and although it was a mere 96° ―the heat index was like 102°!

Anywho, took the singlespeed over to Schaeffer Farm after work and almost immediately realized it probably was not the best idea ― man, it was hot! I did see three other brave (foolish?) souls out there riding, but that was about the extent of it.

After taking a lap on the White Trail I realized I had no water left in my hydration pack and my hands just would not stay on the handlebars from all the sweat (I forgot to bring gloves); so, I thought better of going out on the Yellow Trail as I had originally intended and decided to head home to Fredrock for a couple of post-ride Rogue American Amber Ales!

Tawny amber in color with a coffee aroma and tight head. A delicate roasted malt accent, generous use of hops and a smooth finish. American Amber, originally known as Ashland Amber (created at Rogues original brewpub in Ashland, Oregon which was destroyed by flooding several years ago), is created from Northwest Harrington and Klages, 95-115 and 135-165 Crystal Malts. Kent Golding and Cascade Hops.
