Muddy solo ride ― Schaeffer Farm!

So, it turns out that The Dogfish Head Alehouse is one of the 1,200 establishments in Montgomery Co, MD that had to close because of WSSC water conditions! Fortunately, I called ahead of time and discovered this, so, no wasted gas or time after my ride. I did stop first to pick up a nice, cold 22 oz. Rogue American Amber Ale for my post-ride enjoyment!

Anywho, back to the ride, I took the White Trail counterclockwise first (man, talk about some really muddy spots), then returned to the car for some air in my tires. Then I went out on the White again, but this time clockwise (dodging the really wet areas over most of the log roll-overs).

With limited time for the ride so I could get back home to cook out when Brie got home from work, I stopped after two laps. Tomorrow, hopefully, we will get our f/s bikes back from Brian & James at The Bike Doctor and then head up to the "shed" for a little pre-dinner ride together, sans the mud.

American Amber

Tawny amber in color with a coffee aroma and tight head. A delicate roasted malt accent, generous use of hops and a smooth finish. American Amber, originally known as Ashland Amber (created at Rogue’s original brewpub in Ashland, Oregon which was destroyed by flooding several years ago), is created from Northwest Harrington and Klages, 95-115 and 135-165 Crystal Malts. Kent Golding and Cascade Hops.
